Heartfullness in Las Vegas

Heartfullness in Las Vegas

Last year at about this time, Katy Boynton mentioned that she had had a dream since the first time she went to the Playa, to create a heart that expressed  “Have you had your heart broken by romance, the loss of a loved one, illness or other forms of heartbreak?” and she already had a design in her head.  It is Heartfullness.  She and her crew created this fabulous piece, and a photo was featured in Rolling Stone. How cool is that?

They used Cool Neon Single Density RGB LEDs to light it and from a distance at night it looked like a broken heart.  Isn’t it fabulous?

Love Potion Tranceporter II is a spectacular mutant vehicle (art car) that was on the Playa in 2012, and we loved their use of Cool Neon lighting. We thought that you might like to see the beginning of the armature, because we always like to see how everything is put together, some other photos and a little DJ action from inside the Tranceporter.   We feel very lucky to participate with such fun fabulous artists.

anthrolumehires brianWe are excited to tell you about our client Bryan Ressler and his art, which can be found at  ANTHROLUME – An experiment in wearable electronic art.  His blog includes a video and range of photos and our favorites, posts on “Accidental Art” and “How Art Begins”.  We always love information about the artist’s process.

We wanted to show you this photo of Bryan that was in LA Weekly. We could not help but love it.  Bryan’s camp on the Playa, Prismaticamp, had 12 wearable LED outfits of different kinds, and a vehicle, all using Total Control Lighting.

Brian’s work will be at Oscillate, a gallery in Seattle until February 8, 2013, with an artist’s panel on February 6th.  Do stop by if you are in the area.
