Shipping

 

We ship almost all orders the same day or the next day.  We’ll call or email you in the rare event of an exception.  We ship Monday through Friday.

Orders are also available for Will Call pick up in our Oakland location. If you select this option, we’ll call you to let you know when your order is ready to be picked up. Our regular pickup hours are 11 am – 4 pm; after-hour pickup is available with our dropbox by special request.

When choosing a shipping option, please keep in mind:

  • Heads up – Only Fedex orders have shipping insurance. We ship all  orders with their minimum insurance value ($100) if your circumstance require a higher value please contact us for a quote.
  • Write any deadlines or special instructions in the Notes field during Checkout or email/call us with more extensive instructions.
  • Shipping to Bay Area or Northern CA: FedEx Ground (to businesses) and Home Delivery (to residences) delivers the next business day.
  • Shipping to Southern CA: FedEx Ground and Home Delivery deliver in 2 business days.
  • Shipping cross-country: USPS Priority Mail usually quotes 2 days, including Saturday, unless the destination is rural. FedEx Ground and Home Delivery can take up to 5 business days, depending on the state.

Only USPS Priority Mail orders can be shipped to P.O. Box addresses. Please provide a physical street address for FedEx.

Shipping Policies

  • Funhouse Creations, Inc. ships all orders FOB Oakland, CA. We ship with FedEx, US Postal Service (USPS), and UPS.
  • Once your order has left our shop and is in the hands of the shipping carrier that you’ve selected, the shipping carrier’s policies apply in the rare event of any loss or misdelivery.  We’ll do everything we can to help you process a claim in that rare event.
  • Orders are processed in the order that they’re received.  Our official cutoff times are 10 am PST for all FedEx Ground, USPS, and UPS orders, and 1 pm PST for FedEx Express orders.  Our goal is to ship all orders the same day. If you have a deadline, please let us know in the Notes field during Checkout.  We’ll let you know if we can’t meet it.
  • Please note that phone orders can be shipped one day later than online orders due to our having to enter them manually.

Shipping Options

FedEx

  • FedEx Ground (for business addresses) or Home Delivery (for residential addresses) is the least expensive option and provides tracking.
  • Orders shipped by FedEx require a physical street address.  For delivery to a PO Box, select USPS Priority Mail instead.
  • FedEx Ground and Home Delivery can take up to 5 business days in transit to the east coast.  For fastest delivery times across the US, USPS Priority Mail quotes a delivery time of 2 days.  To see how long delivery will take to your shipping address via FedEx Ground or Home Delivery, consult this map and enter 94607 for Origin Zip/Postal Code.
  • We offer flat rates for the domestic FedEx Express options Saver (3-day), 2-day, and Standard Overnight (delivery by end of the next business day).  Priority Overnight, First Overnight, and Saturday Overnight delivery are available at a cost depending on the weight and destination of the shipment. An initial charge of $45 will be reserved until the final cost is determined. These express options are not available for all shipping addresses.
  • FedEx automatically insures all orders up to $100.  In the rare event of loss or misdelivery, we’ll do everything we can to help you submit a claim.

 

US Postal Service Priority Mail

  • USPS is the only service that will deliver to a PO Box and can be used for any US address, including Alaska and Hawaii.
  • USPS usually quotes a delivery time of 2 days to the East Coast, which is faster than FedEx Ground or Home Delivery. Rural addresses can require 3 days for delivery.
  • US Postal Service delivers Monday through Saturday for all addresses, so an order shipped at the end of the week tends to be delivered more quickly than when using other services.
  • All domestic orders are sent with delivery confirmation.  USPS now provides tracking.
  • For orders shipped to locations outside the United States via USPS Priority Mail International, allow 15 business days for delivery.  Delivery time depends on customs.

Shipping Costs:

USPS Priority  Mail – $9.00 for the first item, no charge for each additional item.

USPS Priority Mail International – $30.00 for the first item, no charge for each additional item.
Allow 15 business days for delivery. Tracking is not available for packages shipped via Priority Mail International.

USPS Priority Mail CANADA – $25.00 for the first item, no charge for each additional item.
Allow 15 business days (usually 2-7 days) for delivery. Tracking is not available for packages shipped via Priority Mail International.

FedEx Ground – $8 for the first item, no charge for each additional item.  Arrives by end of the day Monday – Friday to business addresses (US only).  Free with online orders over $100.

FedEx Home – $8 for the first item,  no charge for each additional item. Arrives by end of the day Tuesday – Saturday to RESIDENTIAL ADDRESSES only (US only). Free with online orders over $100.

FedEx Express Saver (3rd Day)– $20.00 for the first item, no charge for each additional item. Arrives Monday – Friday (US only)

FedEx 2nd Day – $25.00 for the first item, no charge for each additional item. Arrives Monday-Friday (US only)

FedEx Standard Overnight – $35 for the first item, no charge for each additional item. Arrives Monday-Friday (US only)

FedEx Priority Overnight (a.m. delivery), First Overnight (early a.m. delivery) and Saturday Overnight
We’ll reserve $45 as an estimate and increase or decrease the delivery charge depending on the weight and destination of your shipment.
We’ll quote the delivery charge by phone with you unless you expedite the process by giving us pre-approval up to an amount of your choice. (US only)

FedEx Ground CANADA – $20 for the first item, no charge for each additional item.  Tracking is available. Allow up to 1 week for delivery.

FedEx Priority International
By far the fastest international shipping option, with customary delivery in 2-3 business days to many locations around the world. We’ll reserve $80 as an estimate and increase or decrease the delivery charge depending on the weight and destination of your shipment. We’ll quote the delivery charge by email with you unless you expedite the process by giving us pre-approval up to an amount of your choice. The recipient will be responsible for all customs and duties charges.

Shipping Restrictions

Orders to Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico
All express orders will have their delivery cost adjusted based on weight and distance. Usually there is no increase or a very small increase in cost.

Shipping to PO Boxes
All orders to PO Boxes must be shipped by US Postal Service.

 

How long will it take to ship my order?
Prompt delivery is our specialty at Funhouse Creations, Inc. Most orders are shipped the same day. Your order will be shipped within the next twenty-four hours during weekdays unless the item(s) are not in stock. We’ll call you if there are any delays. There is never more than a one-week turnaround for custom soldering.
Example: An order placed Friday afternoon PST for delivery to the east coast may ship the following Monday.
– A next-day air shipment will arrive that Tuesday.
– Home Delivery (to a residential address only) will arrive Saturday.
– Ground (to a business address only) will arrive the following Monday.
Shipping delays due to adverse weather: Occasionally, adverse weather conditions may delay delivery. No shipping carriers will issue refunds if weather is the cause of the delay.
Late summer: July-August. This is our busiest time of the year. We’ll always try our hardest to ship your order the same or next day. You can expedite your shipping by placing your order carefully, avoiding any revisions, selecting a shipping option that’s available for your address, and pre-approving a shipping charge if you’re selecting an option with a variable rate (e.g. FedEx International Priority).
