Coachella Lights Up At Night

Coachella lights up at night, and since the first weekend is in less than 2 weeks away, and we know that festival general admission passes are sold out, we have a hunch that some of you must be getting ready right now. So, we thought you might to know what our ideas are for lighting up the night where you are at Coachella:

Heartfullness is our Valentine

Heartfullness in Las Vegas

Last year at about this time, Katy Boynton mentioned that she had had a dream since the first time she went to the Playa, to create a heart that expressed “Have you had your heart broken by romance, the loss of a loved one, illness or other forms of heartbreak?” and she already had a design in her head. It is Heartfullness. She and her crew created this fabulous piece, and a photo was featured in Rolling Stone. How cool is that?

They used Cool Neon Single Density RGB LEDs to light it and from a distance at night it looked like a broken heart. Isn’t it fabulous?

Mike Chiappetta sent us a photo of his costume for the Playa this year, and what do you want to bet that it might come out for Halloween too?

He used 3 drivers – 1) the face is on a hat as a seperate driver, 2) the heart beats on and off as a seperate driver and 3) the body uses a “Big Boy” driver for the chest, arms and legs. He sewed it with fishing line for durability and kept the cool neon wire loose for easy movement.
